Video and photo production

One day. One classroom.
Nine teachers.

We are looking for a production partner to film and photograph our teachers. The material carries a campaign that starts in January, for the February intake. Everything is shot on one day, at one location.

Who we are

The Confucius Institute teaches Chinese in Maastricht and Rotterdam. It was founded by Zuyd University of Applied Sciences and Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE).

Our name and logo may change. So nothing in this shoot shows a name or a logo.

The idea behind it

Students choose a course for the person who teaches it.

36 of our 45 surveyed students put teaching quality first. So instead of the institute talking about itself, our teachers talk about their own course, in their own words. Think of how MasterClass introduces its teachers: one person, close up, ending with their own name. Same principle, our own scale: real teachers, a real classroom, no film set.

What we shoot

Four things. Three by you, one by us.

02Lines to cameraone to three short lines, in Dutch or English. One line in Chinese is welcome, we subtitle it

03Teaching momentswriting characters, explaining, a laugh with the class. Only students who signed consent

No logo or institute name in the image. Leave room for an end card: we supply name and logo later. Subtitles in English and Dutch. Every teacher in separate files, so one person can be taken out without re-editing the rest.

Script and tone
